Premium

Two tiers: Free, and Premium for whoever holds 1,000,000 $KESTREL in the wallet inside Kestrel Browser. Nothing is sent, locked or registered; the balance is only read: eight seconds after launch, every ten minutes, a few seconds after the wallet sends or swaps anything, and before the first swap of a session when it has not been read yet. Tokens in another wallet or on an exchange are not seen.

What Premium changes

Exactly two things today:

  • the Kestrel fee on a swap: 0.25 percent on Free, none on Premium;
  • how many wallets the alerts follow: 1 and 25.

Shield, Hover, Radar, the simulation, desks and panes, the wallet and every setting are the same for everyone, and safety always will be. More is promised to Premium and not built: Radar filters with saved presets, alert rules of your own, copy trading with caps, a priority lane, an API.

Keeping it

Once Premium is yours it stays while the balance is at or above 900,000, ten percent under where it starts. A check that works and finds the tokens gone ends it at once. A check that cannot be made (no network) is forgiven for up to 24 hours when Premium was verified earlier in the same session; a restart starts from a fresh check.

  • kestrel://premium (type "premium" in the address bar) explains all of it, your own state first: the tier, what you hold, what is missing or where it would end, the fee and the quota in force, then the table, how it works, the fee exactly, and the official token's address.
  • The Wallet pane carries the tier's mark with the fee and the quota in force, and below Premium what holding brings and how far it is.
  • The Alerts pane counts "following 1 of 1" and says what waits.
  • The Trade pane says it under a quote.
  • Settings > Premium shows the tier, the fee and the quota with every plan beside them.

Where the numbers come from

The threshold, the rates and the quotas come from a list Kestrel signs and the app verifies with a key built into it; a list that does not verify is ignored. That list can lower a fee; nothing in it can raise one above 0.25 percent. It can also carry a campaign (Premium for everyone, or a lower fee, until a date): the new tab page says so while one runs.

The official token

The token that list names is the only $KESTREL. Wherever Kestrel Browser shows it (a Hover card, a row of your wallet, the Premium page) it wears the word OFFICIAL.
