Everything a person can do in Kestrel Browser, section by section: every gesture, every key, every default. Written for a reader with the app open, and checked against Kestrel Browser v0.4.1 on 2026-09-25.

1. 1 · The windowKestrel Browser is one window with four rows: the tab strip, the toolbar, the page area with the rail on its right, and the status bar. This section walks the rows from the top down.
2. 2 · Tabs, split view and desksTabs work as in any browser. On top of them Kestrel Browser puts up to five pages side by side, opens a token's chart, safety page, holders and talk together as a desk, and keeps…
3. 3 · The address barOne line for addresses, searches, open tabs, Kestrel's own pages, token addresses and sums. What you type stays yours: nothing leaves the machine unless you turn live suggestions on.
4. 4 · Hover: the card for any token addressHover is the card that opens where you read a token: price, safety and one press trading for any contract address, on any page, without leaving the page.
5. 5 · Shield: what is stopped and what is checkedShield is always on and is never part of a tier. It works in three places: before a page loads, around the addresses a page shows, and before anything is signed.
6. 6 · The walletThe wallet lives in the rail's WALLET pane and on this device only: the keys are created here, encrypted with the password and written to wallet.json in the profile folder (readable by your user account alone).
7. 7 · TradingTrading happens in the rail's TRADE pane, or with one press on a Hover card. Kestrel routes through Jupiter, simulates every transaction before it is signed, and signs on the device.
8. 8 · PremiumTwo tiers: Free, and Premium for whoever holds 1,000,000 $KESTREL in the wallet inside Kestrel Browser.
9. 9 · RadarThe rail's RADAR pane watches Solana in four lists. A press on a row opens the trade; the "⧉" button opens the token's desk.
10. 10 · AlertsThe rail's ALERTS pane collects four kinds of alert, newest first, each with what happened, when, and a link where there is one.
11. 11 · Simple modeSIMPLE in the toolbar keeps one page on screen at a time, hides the rail until you ask for it, and replaces Kestrel's own new tab page with a calmer home.
12. 12 · Kestrel's own pagesEight pages of Kestrel's own, each with an address of its own; type the page's name in the address bar ("settings", "history", "premium") or the address itself.

14. 14 · Keyboard shortcutsFifteen actions have a shortcut you can change; a few keys are fixed. The menus, on both systems, are listed at the end.
15. 15 · Privacy: what stays on the machine and what leaves itKeys, history and settings never leave the computer. What does leave is listed here, source by source, so nothing has to be taken on trust.
16. 16 · Updates and versionsA release build checks ten seconds after a launch and then every hour, so a window that is never closed still learns of a release within the hour.
17. 17 · Not built yet, and the rough edgesWhat a person may look for and not find, and what may surprise them, written down so nobody has to rediscover it.
18. What's newEvery public version and what it brought, as the release page says it.
